A useful fit for

A buyer who has room for the UPL120 wraparound and wants eight pop-up AC receptacles in its two desktop holes plus a flush controller with four saved heights. The power and keypad selection is supported by one current selector state, but the UPL120 is not a conventional L desk, its 38.4-inch maximum outside envelope is not a uniform usable depth, and both holes are occupied by power rather than a cable cover or storage cup.

The main tradeoff

Two PDC013 modules provide four grounded outlets each, but use both openings and leave no ACC088 cable route or ACC059 storage cup. Each has an eight-inch under-hole clearance requirement; cord-length publications conflict and no combined household-circuit allowance is documented. FRM703 adds flush mounting, four one-touch memories, a lock and travel stops versus the Basic Display Angled alternative. The exact full setup is not pictured; the available images show the desktop, two-module option and keypad separately.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Do you need a two-leg 120-degree wraparound desk with the top included?

This selected UPL120 is the two-leg wraparound configuration with the desktop selected; a straight surface or frame-only package is a different fit.

How many pop-up AC outlets must be built into the desktop?

Option 16970 selects two PDC013 modules with four grounded outlets each, for eight listed AC receptacles; the modules consume both openings.

Explore this need in the finder →
Can you leave eight inches open directly under each power-module hole?

PDC013 instructions specify eight inches of unobstructed space below each opening. The selected pair requires checking both locations against the frame and any under-desk storage.

Explore this need in the finder →
Would a flush keypad with at least four saved desk heights suit your routine?

The selected black FRM703 is flush mounted and manufacturer materials document four one-touch saved positions, a lock and user-set travel limits.

Must built-in USB connect a keyboard or storage device to the computer?

No. PDC013 USB ports are documented for charging, not computer data transfer. Choose another documented connection if data is essential.

Do you need both eight pop-up outlets and a covered cable route through a grommet?

Not in this state: both UPL120 openings are used by PDC013 power modules, with no ACC088 cover or spare pass-through.

This is one current UPLIFT V3 120-Degree Standing Desk (UPL120) selector state: a one-inch Black Laminate top, black V3 C-frame with 27-inch feet, two black PDC013 Pop Up Power Grommets and the black FRM703 Advanced Comfort Flush keypad. The page selects desktop 3842, grommet bundle 16970, frame 20903 and keypad 12041 together. That verifies a selectable combination, not a separate SKU, assembled order or stock status.

Check the footprint before counting outlets

The UPL120 is a broad two-leg wraparound desktop, not a rectangular top or a conventional L with a separate return. UPLIFT’s drawing shows 71.7 inches overall width and a 38.4-inch maximum outside-depth envelope. Because the back edge angles and the front sweeps inward, the deepest point is not a usable depth available across the whole surface. Mark the outline on the floor and separately check the monitor, keyboard and writing areas you actually need. If one continuous rectangular depth is essential, the maker drawing does not establish it.

The one-inch Black Laminate option has two 3.15-inch holes, both used by this power kit; no uniform work depth or desktop mass is specified.

Two pop-up units use both holes

Option 16970 is labelled KIT-PDC013-BLK, “2 Pop Up Power - Black.” Each PDC013 is pressed to raise four grounded AC receptacles; the pair therefore has eight documented outlets. The modules sit flush when closed and rise when used. They also each include two USB-A and one USB-C charging port, with USB-C Power Delivery listed up to 20W. UPLIFT describes these USB ports as charge-only; they are not a substitute for a computer data connection.

This current maker thumbnail shows the two PDC013 module tops only. It does not show them installed in the UPL120 or show the selected frame’s clearance.

Both top openings are occupied. That is the central trade: this state gives up a rotating ACC088 cable cover, an ACC059 storage cup and a free cable pass-through in exchange for a power module in each hole. If you need a cable route for a monitor or network lead through the desktop, or a small-item cup, compare the one-power-plus-cover or one-power-plus-storage selections rather than assuming they accompany the dual-power bundle. A fixed PDC019 arrangement is another distinct alternative, but it does not raise like the PDC013.

Plan the under-desk installation, not just the top

The PDC013 instructions require an 80-mm/3.15-inch opening, a grounded supply and eight inches of unobstructed space directly below each module. With two modules, measure both spots. Check that frame members, drawers, shelves and stored equipment do not obstruct the units, and leave enough slack for the desk to travel. The V3 frame needs its own power connection; the desktop grommets do not power the lifting frame.

Do not rely on a single exact PDC013 cord-length figure for a closed route. UPLIFT’s current page, current specification, instructions and an older sheet give conflicting lengths. The current spec lists 15A, 125V and 1,875W per module, but the sources reviewed do not give a combined allowance for two modules on a household branch circuit. Do not add per-module limits into an assumed combined household allowance.

FRM703 is a different control choice from Basic Display

The selected keypad is the black FRM703 Advanced Comfort Flush, not the FRM072 Basic Display Angled used in the sibling dual-PDC013 state. FRM703 sits flush at the front edge and its documentation describes four saved heights with one-touch recall, a keypad lock and user-set upper and lower travel limits. That is useful if a shared desk routinely returns to saved positions or if you prefer a control that does not project upward from the edge. The limits help constrain travel but do not replace checking for shelves, cables or other obstructions.

The maker image shows the FRM703 controller beneath a light sample top, not this Black Laminate UPL120 with dual power installed. UPLIFT does not say whether the illustration is a photo or a render.

In contrast, the FRM072 Basic Display is angled and its saved-height count is not established in the materials reviewed for that version. If you value one-touch memories, the keypad selection is not cosmetic; if you prefer simple press-and-hold movement, the cheaper or simpler display may be sufficient. Either way, follow the selected keypad’s programming instructions and reset the desk as specified after assembly.

Read height and lifting numbers carefully

For the chosen one-inch surface, UPLIFT gives a 22.6-to-48.7-inch working-surface range. The bare V3 C-frame specification lists 21.6 to 47.7 inches before a desktop is fitted. These are maker-stated figures rather than measurements of this assembled configuration. The frame sheet also lists a 355-pound lifting-capacity or weight-limit figure; the sources do not clarify a static-load rating, the desktop’s weight or how much capacity remains for your equipment after the top is installed. I would not treat 355 pounds as a verified payload allowance or as an independent test result.

Follow the V3 reset, moving-clearance and duty-cycle instructions; these claims are not independent test results. The combination’s standout fit is clear: a buyer with the space and two open under-hole locations who wants eight raised outlets and a flush four-position keypad. It is a poor choice when a rectangular depth, storage cup, cable-cover opening, USB data, known module cord length, documented combined circuit load or independently established static rating is essential.

Compare the same top with other hole layouts

For the same Black Laminate top and FRM703, compare this dual-PDC013 review with the one-PDC013 plus ACC088 cover state, the one-PDC013 plus ACC059 storage cup, and the dual fixed-PDC019 selection. These differ in what occupies each hole and in how the outlet panels operate, not just in accessory naming. The images above show the desktop, two-module option and keypad separately; none depicts this complete installed configuration.

Paper, software and setup details

Desktop and configuration note

The UPL120 drawing gives 71.7-inch overall width and 38.4-inch maximum outside-depth envelope with an angled-back, curved-front 120-degree outline; it does not establish a uniform minimum or maximum usable work depth. The selected top is one-inch Black Laminate; top mass and care requirements are not established.

Load-rating interpretation

355-pound lifting/weight-limit wording is not converted to a static-load rating, a per-module grommet load, or remaining equipment payload.

Operating and setup note

The V3 frame manual requires grounded power, initial reset, slack cords and a 1-inch moving-part clearance. It specifies a 10-percent duty cycle: after two continuous minutes of movement within a 20-minute period, allow at least 18 minutes rest. PDC013 manual additionally requires a grounded 120V supply and 8 inches clear below each mounting hole.
