UPLIFT UPL120 Black Laminate (FRM703 flush; PDC119 mapping + ACC059 storage) review

Current UPL120 option 18613 is visibly labeled BUNDLE-PDC019B-ACC059-BLK but its embedded mapping and current power-module listing identify PDC119-BLK plus ACC059. This selected configuration has a storage cup rather than a rotating cable cover; verify the part code in the final order summary.

A useful fit for

A wraparound workstation where the UPL120 outline fits and a compact storage cup, two integrated AC outlets, documented USB charging and a flush four-memory controller are useful—without needing a covered cable route. Verify the PDC019/current PDC119 mismatch before ordering.

The main tradeoff

The second hole is occupied by ACC059 storage rather than an ACC088 rotating cable cover, so it is not a pass-through. Current PDC119 listing states two AC outlets, two USB-A, one USB-C and 20W USB-C PD; USB data transfer, cord length and installation clearance remain unknown. The visible option code says PDC019 while embedded mapping says PDC119. Full desk image and uniform work depth remain unavailable.

UPLIFT UPL120 Black Laminate wraparound desktop shown from above; the frame, keypad, power grommet and storage cup are not installed in this image
The manufacturer image identifies the Black Laminate UPL120 outline only. It does not show this selector plan's frame, keypad or installed grommets, and UPLIFT does not say whether it is a photo or rendering.

This is one current U.S. UPLIFT V3 120-Degree UPL120 selector state: Black Laminate 1-inch top option 3842, black V3 C-frame with 27-inch feet option 20903, black FRM703 Advanced Comfort Flush keypad option 12041, and the black “Power w/ USB + Storage” grommet bundle option 18613. The selected page's visible option label retains the code BUNDLE-PDC019B-ACC059-BLK, while its current embedded product mapping and thumbnail URL identify BUNDLE-PDC119B-ACC059-BLK / PDC119. I use the current PDC119 mapping below, but treat the older label as a variant-code mismatch to verify if it reappears in a checkout summary. This is a configurable page state, not a separately verified complete-desk SKU, order or stock claim.

Use the second opening for storage, not wire routing

The UPL120 desktop drawing shows two 3.15-inch openings. Option 18613 puts one fixed power grommet in one and a black ACC059 Storage Grommet in the other; there is no ACC088 rotating cable cover in this bundle. The cup is a small place for frequently handled items, not a drawer or a large bin: UPLIFT's ACC059 sheet gives about a 2.9-inch inside diameter and 2.3-inch depth. Both holes are occupied, so a monitor lead cannot pass through the storage opening while the grommet is installed. If a covered cable route matters more than an open cup, compare the one-power-plus-cover FRM703 state. If neither storage nor a cable path is useful and you need power in both holes, the dual-power selector state is the relevant comparison.

UPLIFT selector thumbnail showing a round power grommet beside a separate black storage-grommet top, not installed in the desk
This exact manufacturer option thumbnail shows the bundle components only. It does not show the cup below the desktop, the UPL120 cutouts or an installed assembly; the maker does not identify photo-versus-render status.

The current UPLIFT PDC119 listing describes two AC outlets, two USB-A ports, one USB-C port and 20W USB-C Power Delivery. The current UPL120 page's option data maps this bundle to PDC119B, though one visible option label still says PDC019B. Confirm the current part in the final order summary rather than transferring the older PDC019 manual's exact cord, fit or charge-rate figures to this bundle. The selected image and option label confirm one power unit plus one storage top; they do not give this desk's installed underside clearance or power-cord reach. Keep the frame's own mains connection in your layout, and check the relevant current PDC119 installation instructions before deciding whether the outlet and moving cords can reach safely through the full travel path. The maker does not document USB data transfer as a function of this option, so do not count its charging ports as a data connection.

The flush keypad is a meaningful second choice

FRM703 is flush-mounted along the front edge rather than angled upward. UPLIFT documents four saved heights with one-touch recall, a display, keypad lock and adjustable upper and lower stops. That combination can suit a household where more than one user wants repeatable sitting and standing positions without a protruding control face. It is a different control routine from the basic angled FRM072 option; do not assume the Basic Display has the same preset count. The stops can help avoid a known shelf or cabinet, but they do not replace checking the whole moving path for a chair, cable loop, drawer or wall. Follow the controller and frame reset instructions after assembly.

Measure the outline before treating it as a corner fit

The UPL120 drawing gives 71.7 inches overall width and 38.4 inches at the maximum outside-depth envelope. Those are wraparound bounds, not a 38.4-inch continuous usable work depth. The selected page lists a 22.6-to-48.7-inch work-surface range with this one-inch top; the matching FV3-200 frame sheet gives 21.6-to-47.7 inches for the bare frame. These are manufacturer figures, not measurements. Neither source establishes the top's mass, a static-load rating or remaining payload after the desktop and accessories. Trace the outside shape on the floor and check where the chair, side monitor and storage cup land; if your essential need is one uniform 30-inch-deep work area, this documentation cannot confirm it.

Who should choose this exact selector plan?

It is a plausible shortlist for a wraparound workstation where two integrated AC outlets, the documented USB charging profile, a flush four-memory keypad and one compact storage cup solve distinct needs. It is a poor match if you require a covered cable pass-through, more than two integrated AC outlets, confirmed data transfer, a larger storage compartment, a specified uniform work depth or a published static-load figure. Pick the grommet arrangement before the finish: the UPL120 gives you only two openings, and filling both with power and storage leaves no third route. The power-model label mismatch is material if charging ports or exact accessory compatibility are essential; verify the PDC119 mapping with UPLIFT rather than accepting a legacy code on faith. No independent noise, wobble, lifting, assembly-time or durability measurement was performed.

Paper, software and setup details

Desktop and configuration note

Exact UPL120 state: Black Laminate 1-inch 3842; power-plus-storage option 18613; visible bundle label BUNDLE-PDC019B-ACC059-BLK but current embedded mapping BUNDLE-PDC119B-ACC059-BLK; black V3 C-frame/27-inch feet 20903; black FRM703-BLK keypad 12041. One PDC119 mapping and one ACC059 storage cup occupy both holes. Verify the order-code mismatch; this is not a separate SKU, stock or completed-order claim. The UPL120 outside envelope is not a uniform work depth.

Load-rating interpretation

355-pound lifting/weight-limit wording is not converted to a static-load rating, a per-module grommet load, or remaining equipment payload.

Operating and setup note

The current UPL120 page embeds PDC119 plus ACC059 while visible option text retains PDC019. The reviewed listing does not establish exact PDC119 cord length, current limit or under-top clearance. Verify current instructions and order code before installation; keep the frame lead and all moving cords clear.
