Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Do you need a 42 × 24 Walnut Laminate UPL075 with an uncut surface and a flush four-position controller?
The selected top is 42 × 24 Walnut Laminate with no desktop grommet holes, and option 12041 is the flush FRM703 controller with four stored heights.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you specifically want the FRM703 keypad rather than the basic angled FRM072?
The selected FRM703-BLK has a flush mount, four saved heights, lock and user-set travel stops according to the manufacturer sources; those functions are not established for the Basic Display FRM072.
Explore this need in the finder →Is an integrated desktop AC/USB panel essential?
This no-hole plan selects no desktop power module and has no confirmed built-in AC outlets or USB ports. If built-in power is mandatory, use a different UPL075 option.
Explore this need in the finder →Must the 42-inch long side fit a measured 42-inch room limit?
This plan includes the fixed 42 × 24-inch top; a room capped below 42 inches will not fit it.

This review covers the U.S. UPLIFT Wall Mounted Standing Desk selected with a 42 × 24-inch, one-inch Walnut Laminate top, black FRM075 wall-mounted frame, “No Grommet Holes in Desktop” option 13221, and black FRM703-BLK Advanced Comfort Flush keypad option 12041. UPLIFT’s selected page identifies the desktop SKU as UPL075-walnut-lam-42x24-NG. It does not establish a combined frame-and-accessory order code, a stable current price, or current stock.

Start with the wall and the 42-inch surface
The included top is 42 inches long by 24 inches deep. That is the shorter of the two sizes in this immediate family; the 48 × 24-inch sibling keeps the depth and adds six inches of width. The smaller option may be easier to fit along a narrow wall, but it leaves less room for a wide display, papers, and equipment to sit side by side. Measure the usable wall span, the chair approach, and the space the moving top needs. The family photograph is not a dimensional drawing, so use the selected size and the room’s own measurements rather than judging scale from it.
“Walnut Laminate” is the manufacturer’s one-inch laminate selection, not a claim of solid walnut or Walnut Butcher Block. Choose the butcher-block sibling if a genuine wood construction is the deciding requirement. The selected page establishes the option label and top dimensions; it does not provide a selected-top weight or a performance test for scratches, heat, or long-term wear. Do not infer those qualities from the grain pattern in a picture.
The FRM075 is a powered single-column wall mount, not a freestanding base. The installation instructions require an appropriate structural wall attachment, enough room for the full movement path, and a nearby grounded electrical outlet. UPLIFT’s assembly instructions recommend two people; they describe wood-stud fasteners for appropriate studs and require a different fastening solution for other wall constructions. If the wall material or its ability to support this installation is uncertain, resolve that before ordering rather than treating the mounting bracket as a floor-standing alternative.
An intentionally uncut worktop
Option 13221 is explicitly “No Grommet Holes in Desktop.” That gives this plan a continuous surface without a powered grommet opening or covered cable route. It includes no built-in AC outlets, USB ports, pop-up power module, or rotating pass-through cover. That is a useful choice if you want to position a separate power strip wherever it suits the room or prefer not to commit to holes in the surface. It is the wrong configuration if integrated desktop charging or a hidden cable route is essential.
No holes do not make the workstation cordless: the motorized frame still needs mains power, and screen, lamp, and computer leads still need slack and a safe route while the surface moves. Plan the external cable path and outlet location before assembly; cords should not hang where a rising top can tug or pinch them. If a built-in hub and a separate cable opening are more useful than a completely uncut top, compare the 42 × 24 UPL075 with one pop-up unit and a separate cover.
The control is a meaningful upgrade, not a different frame
The FRM703-BLK Advanced Comfort Flush controller is the main functional distinction from the otherwise similar FRM072 Basic Display Angled plan. The flush option sits at the desktop edge rather than presenting an upward-angled face; UPLIFT’s page and instructions describe four stored heights, a keypad lock, and user-set upper and lower travel limits. Its numeric height display turns off after ten seconds of inactivity. Those documented controls are useful when you alternate between repeatable sitting and standing positions or want the ability to restrict the stored travel range. They do not establish universal obstacle detection or collision prevention.
Read the FRM703 instructions before fastening it. UPLIFT notes pre-drilled control mounting holes on its desktops, permits choosing a left or right mounting position, and requires a desk reset procedure before normal use. The included surface and this selected FRM703 combination are a better fit for someone who wants a flush control and four memory positions than the FRM072 basic keypad, whose saved-position count, lock, and travel stops remain undocumented in the inspected materials. Neither keypad should be treated as an independent height control for multiple stations.
Know the lift limits, not just the range
With the selected one-inch top, the FRM075 specification gives a 22.6–48.7-inch work-surface range; the bare frame range is 21.6–47.7 inches. The manufacturer lists a 175-pound lifting capacity inclusive of the desktop. Because the chosen top’s weight is not published in the sources reviewed here, the remaining payload is unknown; do not treat 175 pounds as the allowance for monitors, arms, and other equipment. This assessment is not based on a physical assembly, noise measurement, or stability test.
Shortlist this plan when a 42 × 24 laminate surface, wall mounting, an uncut top, and the FRM703 flush memory controller all fit the same installation. Pass if you need a freestanding desk, an integrated power panel, a pass-through, a confirmed top payload, or a larger surface. The FRM072 sibling keeps the same basic surface choice but has a basic angled control; the one-module power-and-cover sibling trades the uninterrupted top for one built-in hub and one separate cable opening. Check UPLIFT’s selected no-grommet, flush-keypad option state and the FRM703 instructions before deciding.

Paper, software and setup details
Desktop and configuration note
This exact U.S. selected state is UPLIFT UPL075 UPL075-walnut-lam-42x24-NG: a 42 × 24 inch, one-inch Walnut Laminate top, black FRM075 wall-mounted frame, no grommet holes (option 13221), and black FRM703-BLK Advanced Comfort Flush keypad (option 12041).
Load-rating interpretation
The FRM075 sheet states 175 lb lifting capacity inclusive of desktop weight. The selected top and accessory weights and residual payload are not reported; no separate static-load rating is established.
Operating and setup note
Powered single-column wall-mounted adjustment. FRM075 instructions require a suitable structural wall attachment, a nearby grounded outlet, two-person assembly guidance and clearance through the movement path. No desktop grommet, power module or cover is selected. FRM703 provides a flush control with four stored heights, lock and user-set upper/lower limits; complete its reset procedure before use.
