UPLIFT Treadmill Desk UPL964, 48 × 24 Maple Laminate with FRM055 and FRM068 review

One personally inspected option state on UPLIFT’s configurable UPL964 Treadmill Desk listing: 48 × 24-inch, 1-inch Maple Laminate top; white V3 C-frame with 24-inch feet; black FRM055B Advanced Paddle Keypad; black FRM068-BLK Wireless Foot Switch; two white grommet covers; and required MVT011 Inclining Walking Pad. The manufacturer page shows those choices checked together, but is not a completed order or proof of current combination-level availability. The FRM068 adds separate up/down desk control; it does not operate the walking pad.

A useful fit for

A U.S. buyer who wants a 48-inch-long but 24-inch-deep worktop, intends to use the required MVT011 walking pad, prefers FRM055’s paddle and two saved desk heights, and values a separate hands-free up/down desk control. The foot switch is not a walking-pad remote, and it needs a safe floor location outside the belt approach and exit path. Verify pad clearance, desk reach over the belt, usable payload and the unresolved MVT011 user-weight conflict before relying on the bundle.

The main tradeoff

This is the 48 × 24 Maple/white-frame FRM055 plan with a separate FRM068, unlike the otherwise similar no-switch FRM055 selector state. The pedal adds convenient up/down control but does not add memory positions or change pad speed/incline; it also brings two AAA batteries and a floor-placement decision. FRM703/FRM068 offers four saved positions with a different flush keypad. The shallow laminate top and MVT011 still require separate clearance, cable and outlet planning. The 355 lb frame figure is lifting capacity, not usable payload; work-surface height over the belt and the 240/243 lb MVT011 limit conflict are unresolved.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Do you want a separate hands-free desk-height control alongside the paddle keypad?

This selected state pairs the black FRM055 Advanced Paddle with the black FRM068. The switch raises/lowers the desk; it does not operate the MVT011 or add keypad memory.

Explore this need in the finder →
How many saved desk heights must this controller remember?

FRM055 documents two saved positions. The foot switch does not create additional presets; compare a four-position keypad if two are not enough.

Can your room fit a 48 × 24 work surface and the walking pad clearances?

The selected desktop is 48 × 24, but the MVT011 still needs separate floor space: 36 inches behind and 12 inches on each side, plus an appropriate grounded outlet.

Explore this need in the finder →
Is a 23-inch maximum desktop depth essential even when you want this control combination?

No. This selector state has a 24-inch-deep worktop. A 23-inch maximum depth does not fit this exact plan.

Explore this need in the finder →
Do you need a controller lock or a user-set travel limit?

This exact configuration includes the FRM055B Advanced Paddle Keypad. Its manual documents both Lock mode and upper/lower height limits; neither is presented as a collision sensor or child-safety certification.

This UPLIFT Treadmill Desk option state combines the UPL964 listing with a 48 × 24-inch, one-inch Maple Laminate desktop, white V3 C-frame with 24-inch feet, two white grommet covers, the black FRM055 Advanced Paddle Keypad, the black FRM068 Wireless Foot Switch and the required MVT011 Inclining Walking Pad. UPLIFT’s selector response shows those options checked together. That is evidence for a selectable plan, not a completed order, a distinct assembled-desk SKU or proof of current combination-level availability.

UPLIFT UPL964 and MVT011 family scene with a light desktop and white frame; this image does not establish the exact selected top, size or controls
This UPLIFT desk-and-pad family image shows a white frame, light worktop and black pad, not this plan’s exact 48 × 24 top, laminate finish, 24-inch feet or controller set. UPLIFT does not identify the scene as a photograph or a rendering.

Two desk controls, with different jobs

The FRM055 paddle remains the advanced keypad in this plan. Its manual documents two saved desk heights and sitting/standing reminder timers. The separate FRM068 adds a different way to move the frame: the left pedal raises and the right pedal lowers the desk. It does not add more memory positions, recall the keypad’s two stored heights, start or stop the MVT011, or change walking speed or incline. Use the pad’s own remote for its belt and incline controls.

That distinction can make this setup useful when a simple hands-free up/down adjustment is more convenient than reaching for the desk edge while a hand is occupied. The FRM068 instructions say it can work alongside a desktop keypad, so adding it does not remove the FRM055’s advanced functions. With an advanced keypad, the instructions recommend setting upper and lower travel limits as preferred standing and sitting endpoints; then holding the corresponding foot pedal moves the desk until it reaches a limit. Those endpoints are not the same thing as the keypad’s two memory positions.

Plan pedal placement before adding it

FRM068 consists of a wireless pedal and a receiver that connects at the desk control box. Installation involves routing the existing keypad through the receiver and securing the receiver beneath the desktop. The foot unit uses two AAA batteries that are not included. The manual says to keep it under the desk to avoid trips and falls, press the pedals gently rather than stomp or stand on them, and position the receiver with other accessories and cables in mind.

That advice deserves extra attention here: the MVT011 also occupies floor space beneath the worktop. Do not put the pedal where a walking step, pad approach or exit could catch it. The switch is a convenience for changing desk height, not a treadmill control and not a reason to adjust while distracted on a moving belt. If you cannot keep it within reach without intruding on a safe walking path, the same 48 × 24 FRM055 plan without the optional switch is a more sensible comparison. If the only need is extra stored heights, compare the FRM703 plan instead; this FRM055 keypad has two, not four.

The shallow top does not shrink the treadmill footprint

The 48-inch length preserves a useful long edge, while the 24-inch depth may protrude less into a narrow room than a 30-inch desktop. It also leaves less front-to-back room for a display stand, keyboard, mouse and paper. Check where the monitor base and your hands will land before treating the dimensions as a fit. “Maple Laminate” describes the selected surface option; it is not evidence of a solid maple slab. The two white grommet covers indicate two covered openings, not an uncut top or built-in power.

The MVT011 is a separate 48-inch-long, 20.25-inch-wide walking pad. Its instructions call for 36 inches of clear floor behind it, 12 inches on each side and a separate grounded 120-volt outlet. The manual lists a maximum 4 mph speed and the specification gives a maximum 7% grade; these are equipment limits, not a recommendation for any particular walking routine. Sketch the desktop, pad, pedal, exit path and required clearances together. The pad also needs to sit on a level, stable indoor surface.

Do not guess at standing reach or capacity

The selected white C-frame feet and the desktop dimensions do not establish the finished surface height above the raised belt. A bare-frame range is not a reliable answer to whether a particular person can reach the worktop comfortably while standing on the pad. If that height is essential, verify the complete desk-and-pad setup with UPLIFT before choosing it.

The V3 frame’s 355-pound figure is a lifting-capacity statement, not a static-load rating or the remaining payload after the desktop, keypad, monitor arms and other equipment. The MVT011 manual says not to exceed 240 pounds, while its specification sheet says 243 pounds. That conflict is unresolved here; neither figure is treated as a safe recommendation threshold. Ask UPLIFT for clarification if the limit affects your decision.

Who should choose this option set?

It suits a buyer who can fit the 48 × 24 surface and the pad’s larger floor-clearance envelope, wants the FRM055’s paddle and two saved positions, and has a safe place for an additional up/down foot control. The foot switch may be unnecessary clutter for someone who adjusts infrequently, and the FRM703 alternative is better aligned with a four-preset preference. A conventional standing desk avoids the pad’s separate outlet and clearance demands if walking is not a central requirement. In every case, check the whole setup rather than assuming that the desk dimensions describe the floor area.

Operating and setup note

The exact archived current UPLIFT selected-state response shows Maple Laminate 4867, 48×24 desktop 19766, two white covers 3941, white V3 C-frame 24-inch feet 20605, black FRM055 Advanced Paddle option 8984, black FRM068-BLK Wireless Foot Switch option 10561, and required MVT011 21437 together. The selected foot switch adds desk up/down control only; it does not operate the walking pad. UPLIFT page code UPL964-maple-lam-48x24 is a selector code, not a separately verified assembled retail SKU, completed cart or combination-level stock claim. FRM055 moves desk height only, not pad speed. Finished surface height above the belt, usable payload and the pad’s 240/243 lb maximum-user discrepancy remain unknown.
