UPLIFT Treadmill Desk UPL964, 42 × 30 Maple Laminate review

One manually assessed option set on UPLIFT’s configurable UPL964 Treadmill Desk listing: a manufacturer-labeled 42 × 30-inch, 1-inch Maple Laminate top, white C-frame and keypad, black wireless foot switch, two white grommet covers and the required MVT011 walking pad. The official page does not establish final-cart inventory for this complete combination. The pad has distinct floor, power, speed, clearance and unresolved user-weight constraints.

UPLIFT’s Treadmill Desk gallery depicts a white frame and a wood-toned surface above the MVT011 pad. The scene is not labeled by UPLIFT as photograph or rendering and does not establish the selected 42 × 30-inch Maple Laminate top, two grommet covers, keypad or foot switch. UPLIFT Desk
A useful fit for

A U.S. buyer whose space benefits from a 42-inch-long but 30-inch-deep top, who specifically wants UPLIFT’s Maple Laminate option and a bundled MVT011, and who will also use a separate foot pedal for up/down desk movement. The room must still preserve the walking pad manual’s 36-inch rear and 12-inch side clearances, two grounded power connections, and a personally checked surface height over the belt.

The main tradeoff

The shorter 42-inch top conserves desktop length, but does not reduce the MVT011’s footprint or clearance. The selected two-cover grommet option is not an uncut desktop or power module. The FRM068 provides hands-free up/down control only; its two AAA batteries are not included, and the pedal needs safe floor placement. Finished work-surface height over the raised belt, usable payload, and a reconciled 240/243 lb MVT011 user-weight limit remain unknown.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Must a manufacturer-labeled laminate top and the MVT011 walking pad be in the same desk plan?

The selected UPLIFT option is Maple Laminate 1 inch in a fixed 42 × 30 size, and MVT011 is the required walking-pad option. The selector does not establish a final cart or combination-level inventory.

Do you want a separate wireless foot pedal for raising and lowering the desk?

This exact option set selects FRM068-BLK in addition to the white FRM072 keypad. The instructions describe up/down foot control through a receiver, two AAA batteries not included, and placement under the desk to limit trip risk.

Do you need cable-cover openings, and do you also need the desktop to be uncut?

The selected grommet value is two white covers. It is a covered-opening option, not an uncut top, outlet, USB module or storage cup.

Can you confirm the finished desk height is usable while you stand on the MVT011 belt?

The exact selected frame range does not document the finished work-surface height above the raised MVT011 belt. An essential 24-inch minimum finished-surface requirement therefore must not pass from the frame number alone.

This assessment covers one option set on UPLIFT’s configurable Treadmill Desk listing: base product UPL964, Maple Laminate 1-inch desktop in the 42 × 30-inch size, two white grommet covers, a white V3 C-frame with 27.5-inch feet, the white FRM072 Basic Display Angled Keypad, the black FRM068 Wireless Foot Switch, and the required MVT011 Inclining Walking Pad. The selector page identifies a product option code for this top, but it does not establish a standalone finished-desk SKU, a completed cart, or stock for every selected option together.

UPLIFT Treadmill Desk listing scene with a white desk frame and wood-tone desktop over an MVT011 walking pad
UPLIFT’s gallery scene for the UPLIFT Treadmill Desk shows a white frame, wood-toned top, and MVT011 pad. It is consistent with the selected frame and bundle but does not identify the 42 × 30-inch size, Maple Laminate finish, grommet covers, or foot switch; UPLIFT does not label it as a photograph or rendering.

A shorter top with full-size depth

The 42 × 30-inch rectangle is 8.75 square feet. It keeps the 30-inch front-to-back dimension found in the longer UPLIFT treadmill-desk options, but gives up six inches of length versus the 48 × 30 Acacia plan, eighteen inches versus the 60 × 30 Bamboo plan, and thirty inches versus the 72 × 30 Walnut Laminate plan. It can suit a narrower work area without using a shallow 24-inch surface, but the pad still needs its own floor space.

UPLIFT labels the selected top “Maple Laminate 1inch.” Treat it as the manufacturer’s laminate option, not solid maple lumber or a solid-wood surface. The white frame and keypad are finish choices; the foot switch and walking pad remain black. The two-cover grommet selection is not an uncut surface: it is the covered-opening option. It gives you cable pass-through points but does not add AC outlets, USB charging, or the raised pop-up power modules available in other selector bundles. If avoiding desktop cuts is essential, choose a different grommet option rather than assuming covers make these holes disappear.

The foot switch adds a different way to move the desk

FRM068 is an additional control, not a replacement for the listed FRM072 display keypad. UPLIFT’s instructions say the receiver plugs into the control box’s “HS” port; the desk-mounted keypad can then plug into the receiver so the two controls are used together. The foot pedals provide up/down movement, while the keypad remains the control with a height display. The switch itself does not add saved-height programming or the programmable functions of an advanced keypad. This is useful if you want to adjust the frame while keeping your hands on a task, but it also means a separate floor control must be placed where it will not become a trip obstacle.

The FRM068 needs two AAA batteries, which are not included. Its manual says to press the pedals gently, not stomp or stand on them, and to keep the switch under the desk to reduce trip risk. The instructions support using it alongside other UPLIFT keypads, but this plan has the Basic Display keypad; it does not include an advanced keypad or saved-height feature.

Room, power, and height still decide whether the pad fits

The MVT011 is a separate walking pad paired in the selector with the desk, not a belt built into the frame. Its specification gives a 48 × 20.25-inch overall footprint, a 39.4 × 15.4-inch belt, 0.6–4 mph speed range, and ten incline levels to 7 percent. The manual calls for at least 36 inches of clear space behind it and 12 inches on each side. That clearance can be the hard part in a compact room: the shorter 42-inch desktop does not shorten the pad or reduce its safety space. The pad requires a grounded 120V outlet, and its instructions prohibit an extension cord or adapter; plan this separately from the desk frame’s own mains connection and keep cords out of moving parts and walking paths.

The V3 frame specification states a 21.6–47.7-inch range, but that is not the finished desk-surface height while standing on the raised belt. UPLIFT does not state a completed surface-height range for this exact desk-and-pad combination, so the right height for a user walking at the desk remains a hands-on fit check. The frame’s 355-pound lifting figure is not a verified static rating or remaining payload after the top, controls, and equipment. There is also an unresolved MVT011 user-weight conflict: its manual says not to exceed 240 pounds, while its specification sheet says 243. Neither number is treated as a reconciled limit. If that matters to you, get a written answer from UPLIFT before choosing this plan.

Who should compare this configuration?

Compare this plan if you need a 42-inch worktop with a full 30-inch depth, want a manufacturer-labeled laminate rather than bamboo or butcher block, and value an extra foot-operated up/down control alongside the keypad. It is a poor fit if you need an uncut desktop, integrated outlets, a top at least 43 inches long, a walking surface above 4 mph, or a confirmed minimum working height while standing on the belt. Its battery-powered floor control needs placement away from trip paths and does not reduce the pad’s clearance or power requirements.

For a slightly longer workstation, the separate 48 × 30 Acacia plan adds six inches of desktop length; the 60 × 30 Bamboo and 72 × 30 Walnut Laminate options go farther if the room permits. Those other reviewed selector plans do not have this same selected FRM068/white-frame/covered-grommet combination. If the walking pad is not a priority, compare a conventional V3 desk: it avoids the pad’s dedicated clearance and separate power needs. Check the live listing’s option labels and all dimensions before ordering; a selected component list is not a guarantee that the assembled desk will fit your room or working posture.

Paper, software and setup details

Operating and setup note

The exact option URL and source HTML show a 42 × 30 Maple Laminate top, two white covers, a white V3 C-frame and FRM072-WHT keypad, FRM068-BLK wireless foot switch and the required MVT011. The foot-switch instructions say the receiver connects at the HS port and can be used alongside the desk keypad; its foot controls provide up/down movement, use two AAA batteries not supplied and do not add keypad programming. The pad remains a separate 120V grounded device. The selector page does not establish final-cart or combination stock. Finished surface height above the belt and a reconciled MVT011 weight limit remain unknown.
