Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Do you already have a fixed-height desk and want a powered converter rather than a floor-standing frame?
The E7 UDA115-A sits on a host desk. It is not an independent sit-stand desk; measure the host height and check that the 92 lb converter can be supported.
Explore this need in the finder →Is the UPLIFT Black Eco surface option label the one you want?
The selector records the Black Eco label for this plan. The manufacturer evidence reviewed here does not establish the composition or environmental properties of the surface.
Explore this need in the finder →Must the keyboard tier sit below the host-desk surface when the converter is lowered?
The model instructions say the lower keyboard tray sits below the host surface at its lowest point and must clear the host desk edge.
Explore this need in the finder →Will your essentials fit on the moving top and under the room’s depth limit?
The E7 specification shows a 30 by 21.5 inch main surface. Its host desk and lower tray are not extra moving-top length or depth.
Explore this need in the finder →The UPLIFT E7 UDA115-A is a powered converter that sits on a fixed-height desk, not a replacement for a standing desk frame. This review is about the U.S. selector state with the Black Eco surface label, black base, and the single black monitor-mount option. It is a useful distinction if you want to keep a desk you already own and change only the work surface above it. It is a poor shortcut if you need a full-size freestanding desk or cannot verify that the host desk can support the converter and your equipment.
Black Eco is an option name, not a material specification
The manufacturer selector shows three choices together for this plan: Surface Style “Black Eco” (value 4271), Base Color “Black” (4266), and “Single Monitor Mount Black” (5813). That makes this a different selected surface from the separately reviewed Bamboo and Natural Rubberwood versions of the same UDA115-A converter. It does not make Black Eco a tested material category. The selector and image identify a dark surface; the evidence reviewed here does not specify its layers, core, composition, emissions, recycled content, or environmental certification. Do not buy it to satisfy a requirement for a documented laminate, solid wood, or sustainability standard unless the maker supplies that evidence for the exact current option.
The manufacturer gallery includes a view of the Black Eco surface on the E7 converter. It is a useful visual reference for the dark work surface, but it does not clearly establish the selected single-mount hardware in this plan. The mount selection comes from the option state, not from assuming every gallery image represents the checked combination. Photography-versus-render status for that gallery image is not identified by the maker.
Check the host desk and the moving surface first
The E7 has a 30-by-21.5-inch main surface and a lower keyboard platform measuring 28 by 10.5 inches. That is a compact work area: measure the laptop, monitor stand, keyboard, pointing device, and anything else that must move together. The lower tray is useful when you want a separate typing tier, but the UDA115 instructions say it descends below the host desk surface at its lowest position. Check the front edge, apron, drawer, and any hardware under your fixed desk before deciding that the converter will lower far enough for you.
Height needs special care. The specification gives 21 inches of vertical travel; that is movement above the host desk, not a floor-to-work-surface range. The lowest position starts at the height of your existing desk plus the converter’s own geometry. Measure the combined seated and standing positions, including the keyboard tier, chair, and monitor. If your current desk is already high for seated work, more travel does not solve the low-position problem.
The converter itself weighs 92 pounds before a display and other equipment are added. Treat host-desk strength and front-edge support as prerequisites, not afterthoughts. The manufacturer describes 110 pounds as the unit’s maximum load or lifting capacity, depending on the document; neither source establishes a separate static rating or the payload left after the converter’s own weight. The single selected monitor mount has a 17.6-pound limit, which is a separate constraint from the converter’s overall load. Keep each figure in its stated context rather than adding them together as a promised usable allowance.
What the powered mechanism adds—and what it does not
UPLIFT specifies two saved positions, 120-volt, 60-hertz power, a 200-watt maximum input, and a 10-percent motor duty cycle for the UDA115-A. Those details suit someone who wants powered transitions on an existing desk and has a nearby outlet. They do not mean the mechanism should be run continuously. The converter is not a rolling cart, has no independent floor-standing legs, and cannot move the host desk’s own height. Its lower tray, monitor option, and small footprint are the reasons to consider it; its dependence on a heavy, compatible host is the central tradeoff.
The three UDA115 surface labels should not be conflated. Choose the Black Eco state if its dark appearance is the preference and material composition is not an essential condition. The Bamboo and Natural Rubberwood option pages provide different manufacturer labels, but those names also should not be expanded into unverified construction claims. If a documented material matters more than color, compare those separate plans and confirm what the seller currently specifies before purchase.
If you do not already have a suitable fixed desk, compare a complete two-leg electric desk and its exact desktop instead. If you need a larger moving surface, high static-load documentation, a low absolute seated height, or verified environmental composition, the UDA115 evidence does not settle those needs. This exact Black Eco selection can make sense as a compact powered layer over a desk you intend to keep—but only after the host fit, clearances, surface label, and two different load limits all work for your room.

Start with whether you need a complete desk or a converter for an existing fixed desk, then choose the support layout and surface package. Add exact height, top and cable constraints only when they matter.
