Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can the E7 Plus support a desktop 34 inches deep and reach a 50-inch bare-frame height?
Yes, both fall within the current manufacturer ranges: 27.6–35.4 inches for top depth and 26–51.6 inches for frame height without the top. Check the exact desktop thickness and assembled workspace height.
Explore this need in the finder →Is the E7 Plus a four-motor desk because it has four legs?
No. FlexiSpot lists the E7 Plus as a dual-motor frame with four columns; the manual shows transmission rods coupling the legs. The separate E7 Plus Max is the four-motor configuration and is not the model assessed here.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the E7 Plus frame manual show an included cable tray?
The current manual's component list does not identify a dedicated tray; it does show cable ties for wire organization. Treat the tray as unconfirmed for this package, and plan the full cable path separately.
Explore this need in the finder →The FlexiSpot E7 Plus is a four-column, dual-motor standing desk with a broader, deeper supported tabletop than the E7 Pro and a higher published static rating than either two-leg model in this family comparison. It also starts at a taller 26 inches before the desktop. That combination makes the E7 Plus a distinct fit choice rather than an automatic upgrade: the big top and four-leg layout help one kind of setup, while the higher minimum and more involved assembly make it a poor answer for another. This assessment is based on FlexiSpot's US product page and its October 2026 manual, not a hands-on stability measurement.
Variant check: FlexiSpot's current U.S. page also names an E7 Plus Fit, whose published height range is 24–45.7 inches and whose keypad is described as USB-charging rather than the regular E7 Plus Type-C port. This review and its detailed measurements refer to the regular E7 Plus manual/model family, not Fit. Fit's lower published endpoint may suit a lower seated setup, but do not carry over this review's top-size limits, load figures, motor/controller details, or setup instructions to Fit without its exact manual and model confirmation. See the E7-family fit guide for the distinction; we have not treated Fit as a reviewed or buying-eligible configuration.
Four legs do not mean four motors
The manual cover identifies E7B-Plus, E7W-Plus, and E7S-Plus, preserving the black, white, and gray frame identities in one review because the documented functions are the same. FlexiSpot lists this E7 Plus with two motors and four legs. The manual's part list and assembly drawings show transmission rods that connect the columns, so this is not the four-motor E7 Plus Max. Do not use the Max's dimensions or rating for the E7 Plus or treat the suffix as a finish-only difference between these two models.
The current E7 Plus specifications list a 26–51.6-inch bare-frame height range, a frame-width adjustment of 38.9–62.6 inches, and compatible desktops 47.2–78.7 inches wide by 27.6–35.4 inches deep. The manual says the tabletop should be over 0.7 inches thick. The larger recommended top can be useful for an extended keyboard and monitor layout, a shared workspace, or peripherals that need more depth. But the four columns and braces occupy more of the area under the desk. Map drawers, keyboard trays, computer mounts, chair arms, and knees before buying rather than assuming a four-leg shape is invisible beneath the surface.
Read both load figures carefully
FlexiSpot publishes 540 pounds static and 440 pounds lifting for E7 Plus. Its manual's technical table marks both figures “Only frame.” In a different installation section, the manual says to ensure the desktop's strength and weight do not exceed 540 pounds. Those statements do not produce a clean payload allowance for a top plus equipment. A higher static rating is not the same as an independently verified safe load for your chosen tabletop, monitor arm, computer, and accessories. Treat the figures as manufacturer specifications, then read the exact manual and desktop terms for the package you select.
The distinction also matters when comparing E7 Plus to E7 Pro. E7 Plus is listed at 540 pounds static and 440 pounds dynamic lifting; the Pro page lists 440 pounds maximum static. The values refer to different published measures and should not be collapsed into a single “stronger” score. We do not reproduce FlexiSpot's wobble demonstrations or claim to have tested the frames under load.
Controls, setup and the unconfirmed tray
The manual identifies four memory positions, a child lock, collision-prevention sensitivity adjustment, Type-C charging, and a two-minutes-on/eighteen-minutes-off duty cycle. The operating instructions make clear that the keypad saves heights you set; it does not determine whether a position is right for your body or equipment. Set and check the positions with the real chair and tabletop installed.
Assembly deserves planning. The manual says two or more people should cooperate, shows the tabletop separately prepared by the user, and gives fastening and spacing instructions for the cross-supports. The part list does not identify a dedicated cable tray. It does show cable ties, so wire organization is possible, but do not assume the E7 Pro's covered tray is included. Route cables only after installing and testing the full height range, with enough slack at every connection.
FlexiSpot states a 15-year warranty for frame, motor, and electronics, while desktop coverage depends on its material. This is a long listed warranty term, not proof that every part or labor cost has identical coverage. Keep the manual, purchase record, exact tabletop identity, and warranty terms together.
When the E7 Plus makes sense
Consider the E7 Plus when a four-leg layout and a desktop approaching 35.4 inches deep are central to your plan, or when its higher published static rating is a relevant comparison point. The upper frame limit reaches 51.6 inches, but its 26-inch bare minimum rules it out if the desk surface itself must be low. The E7's 22.8-inch minimum is lower, and its manufacturer comparison lists a 40-inch maximum top depth. The E7 Pro adds a magnetic tray cover but is listed for a 30-inch maximum top depth.
Before ordering, verify whether the cart contains a frame only or the actual top, select the model and size together, check top-thickness requirements, and plan attachment positions. If four legs simply look more robust but do not solve a real footprint or workspace need, the E7 or Pro may leave more useful room around your chair and equipment. Compare the full operating arrangement, not the weight number alone.

Paper, software and setup details
Desktop and configuration note
The manufacturer offers frame-only and desktop configurations. Its general frame-compatible top range is 47.2–78.7 in wide, 27.6–35.4 in deep and over 0.7 in thick. The product-page desktop selector lists many material, finish and size choices. To avoid treating the frame-only maximum as an included top, strict matching uses the individually checked compatible black laminate 48 × 30 in CBR4830B-D option (1 in thick); other material/size combinations need exact row-level review.
Load-rating interpretation
FlexiSpot publishes 540 lb static and 440 lb lifting ratings. The October 2026 manual marks both ratings 'Only frame' and separately warns that the top's strength and weight must not exceed 540 lb; do not assume the larger static number is usable payload after desktop and devices.
Operating and setup note
Four columns and two motors are linked by transmission rods; this is not a four-motor frame. Manual requires two or more people for assembly, shows no dedicated cable tray in its listed parts, supplies cable ties, and specifies a 2-minute use/18-minute rest cycle.
