FlexiSpot Odin E7Q or E7 Plus: compare the four-leg frames

FlexiSpot's E7 Plus and Odin E7Q both use four-leg layouts, but they are not the same lift with different names. The current E7 Plus page describes two motors; the E7Q page describes four. Their compatible top shapes and included top examples also differ. Compare the whole arrangement—frame, tabletop, height and clearance—not just the leg count or load label.

Start with the motor and room plan

The E7 Plus is a four-column, two-motor frame. Its beams and transmission rods coordinate the columns. E7Q's page calls out four motors, and its manual lists four lifting columns, two supporting beams and two feet. Both require a sizeable rectangular footprint below the top, but E7Q's larger layout is especially important to map around a chair, drawer unit and under-desk computer mounts. A four-leg label alone does not tell you whether the base leaves enough open knee space.

Use the motor count only if it changes your choice. E7Q's four-motor configuration may be relevant if you specifically want that drive layout; it is not a laboratory finding about stability or a guarantee that your equipment will lift faster. The manual lists a maximum speed of 1.5 inches per second, but no independent measurement has been made here. The E7 Plus is the different choice when four legs and a broad frame matter but its two-motor design fits your requirements.

Compare a desktop you can actually order

The E7 Plus supports a broad frame-only desktop envelope, while the selected included-top plan reviewed here is a 48 × 30-inch black laminate surface. The E7Q manual describes a longer 70.9–94.5-inch tabletop and a 31.5- or 35.4-inch short edge; the E7Q product page says 30–35.4 inches deep. To stay inside dimensions both sources support, the E7Q fact plan uses the page-listed BambooD 71 × 35 and 79 × 35-inch options. The archived page does not show their checkout SKU codes. Do not assume every finish or size displayed in its material panel matches the manual; shorter 60- or 63-inch examples and 30-inch-deep tops need a direct configuration check.

If you need a frame without a top, E7 Plus and E7 Plus Max have verified frame-only plans in this library. The E7Q page we reviewed does not confirm a frame-only configuration. A compatible-top range is not proof that an unbundled frame is sold. Likewise, the E7Q's 35-inch included example should not be confused with any smaller page-only size until the order and manual agree.

Keep height and load claims in their lanes

For maximum height, E7 Plus is documented to 51.6 inches. E7Q's page says 51.6, but its direct manual says 51.4, so the higher E7Q endpoint is unresolved; do not count it for a strict 51.5-inch target. Both bare frames start around 26 inches, and desktop thickness raises the actual surface. Measure seated and standing positions with the chair, shoes and monitor in place.

E7Q's page labels 660 pounds as a maximum static load; its linked manual calls 661 pounds maximum load capacity. The manual does not label the latter as static or dynamic. E7 Plus publishes 540 pounds static and 440 pounds lifting, but its manual marks both ratings “Only frame.” These figures are not interchangeable or a measured payload allowance for a desktop plus equipment. For an essential load threshold, use only the exact rating and basis that match the requirement.

Assembly and cables can decide it

The E7 Plus manual lists cable ties but does not identify a dedicated tray; the E7Q manual lists a cable-management net, not a rigid tray. The original E7 Plus Max manual, by contrast, lists one cable tray. Neither of the first two descriptions confirms a magnetic cover. Both E7 Plus and E7Q manuals call for at least two people during assembly and state a two-minutes-on/eighteen-minutes-off operating cycle. Leave room to work underneath the base and route a cable path that remains clear throughout travel.

Choose E7Q only if the larger long top and four-motor layout solve a real workspace need. Choose E7 Plus when four legs are wanted without the four-motor frame and the smaller known included top is sufficient. Choose E7 Plus Max when its exact revision, separately verified included 48 × 30-inch top, or frame-only envelope best matches the room. Read each model's own manual and exact cart configuration: similar family names do not make the tables, loads or included hardware interchangeable.

Read the individual Odin E7Q review, E7 Plus review, and E7 Plus Max manual-revision guide. These are comparisons of manufacturer documents, not measured performance tests.

Make the measurements work before choosing a finish.
