Two independently adjustable FlexiSpot work positions

A “two-person standing desk” can mean one long surface shared at a common height, or two work positions that move separately. If two people need to stand at different times, check for independent height control before comparing desktop width. FlexiSpot's E7H and EH1 product pages both describe a two-workstation system with separate height changes; their published motor and per-side capacity figures differ. Neither product page supplies a complete exact U.S. operating manual, and both need tabletop-package confirmation before you plan a purchase around the rendered images.

Two separate height settings, not one oversized table

On the E7H page FlexiSpot specifies four legs, four motors, four crossbeams and independent adjustment on each side. Its published figures are 275 pounds per side, 40 mm/s, and less than 50 dB. The EH1 page describes independent motorization on each side, lists two motors overall and publishes 154 pounds per side, 20 mm/s and less than 50 dB. These are statements from the maker, not side-by-side measurements. If capacity or speed is your deciding factor, treat them as advertised comparisons only, not verified load limits or a promise about real-world motion.

Both listings are more complicated than a single model code. The E7H page offers white E7HW-S and E7HW-B frame options for a 24-inch or 28-inch top-width setting. EH1 adds black and white EH1 frame choices for those same two settings. Each page also lists optional 48 × 24-inch and 55 × 28-inch laminate desktops in several finishes. The page calls the base offer frame-only. The official pages do not make clear whether a selected Desktop-H item represents one board or the full pair of surfaces pictured; ask for the exact package quantity and mounting plan.

Do not compare heights or warranty by headline

The E7H specification gives a 22.8–48.4-inch adjustment range, but its basis is not stated cleanly. The E7H frame selector's field says “Height Range without Top & Capacity,” yet the value itself contains a stray “EH7” label and a 24/28-inch top-width/capacity fragment, not a clear height. The exact E7H manual was not linked on the U.S. product page or listed in the official manual index at the time checked. That leaves the actual surface-height endpoints, assembly sequence and use/duty instructions unresolved.

EH1 has a more consequential contradiction: its specification table shows 28.7–48.4 inches and a recommended user height of 65–74 inches, while the embedded product advertisement says 24.4–50 inches. The warranty section says five years; the advertisement says ten. No exact U.S. EH1 manual was available in the official manual index I checked. Do not use EH1 to satisfy a hard seated-height limit or warranty requirement unless FlexiSpot confirms the exact U.S. variant in writing.

When a regular single-station desk is the better fit

If one person uses the desk, a conventional model can be a simpler choice. The FlexiSpot E7 is a single two-leg frame with its own compatible-top range and controls; it does not create two independently moving stations. For a fixed two-person table, a shared-height surface may be less expensive and easier to plan, but it will not let one user remain seated while the other stands. Decide which interaction matters before choosing the frame, and measure chair clearance, wall clearance and cable slack for both moving positions.

In the finder, requiring two independently adjustable work positions narrows the field to desk systems that actually describe that function. A four-motor requirement favors E7H over EH1 on the published count; a per-side comparison threshold of 200 pounds also separates their stated 275 and 154 pounds. Those figures are not interchangeable with static-load ratings. If either exact top quantity or surface height is essential, leave it unresolved until the seller provides a complete package list and matching instructions.

A practical pre-order checklist

Ask how many tabletop pieces ship, whether the selected desktop component covers both work positions, and which length and depth belong to each. Request the exact manual for the frame code—E7H's E7HW-S/B or EH1's EH1B/W-S/B—rather than borrowing an E7, E7 Pro or non-U.S. EH1 manual. Ask FlexiSpot to reconcile the printed height range and warranty if either sets the desk's eligibility for your users. Confirm the quoted per-side load basis and the rating for the complete configured system; don't add two figures into a whole-desk limit unless the maker explicitly permits that interpretation.

These systems may make sense for a pair who need separate motion and have room to coordinate two work areas. They are not automatically better than two standard desks: the extra frame structure, wiring and component count add setup questions, and the current public documentation leaves important package details open. Choose based on the independence you need and on a kit whose contents and operating instructions are clear.

Make the measurements work before choosing a finish.
