Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Which exact Tria top and leg-color pair matters to you?
This assessment covers the Natural Oak top with Black legs. Branch identifies the desktop as laminated MDF; Natural Oak does not establish solid oak.
Explore this need in the finder →What minimum actual top length and depth must the included desktop meet?
The largest option is labeled 71 × 30 inches but measures 70.9 × 29.5; the other actual tops are 58 × 27 and 47.2 × 27 inches.
Explore this need in the finder →How low must the completed desk surface reach?
Branch states 25.5 inches as the minimum completed-surface height; a lower essential requirement is not met by this evidence.
Explore this need in the finder →Is laminated MDF acceptable, or is solid wood essential?
Branch specifies laminated MDF. Natural Oak describes the finish, not solid timber or veneer.

This assessment covers three exact U.S. Tria complete-desk choices: Natural Oak laminated-MDF tops with Black legs. The representative manufacturer image shows Natural Oak with White legs, so confirm the SKU and leg finish in the product selector rather than using the picture to identify the base.
Choose Natural Oak for the look, not a different desk
Branch’s U.S. selector feed lists three exact Natural Oak / Black complete-desk SKUs: 10-14-05-131, 10-14-09-131 and 10-14-13-131. They use the same documented Tria frame and controls as other finishes; Black legs are an appearance choice, not a capacity upgrade.
“Natural Oak” is also a finish label rather than a material guarantee. Branch specifies the desktop as laminated MDF. If the pale wood look works with your room but solid oak is essential, this desk does not meet that material requirement. The finish does not make the top a veneer or solid timber. The Natural Oak / White representative view helps identify the Tria shape and surface appearance; it does not depict the selected Black base, identify which size is shown, or include optional accessories.
Use the measured surface dimensions to pick a size
The nominal size labels round the actual work surfaces. The 48 × 27-inch option measures 47.2 × 27 inches; the 58 × 27 option measures 58 × 27; and the largest, labeled 71 × 30, measures 70.9 × 29.5 inches. That last difference matters if your desk must pass between walls or meet a strict minimum. A requirement for a true 71-inch length or 30-inch depth is not met by the published largest top.
The compact size can suit a narrower room, but sketch where monitor, keyboard, mouse and paperwork will sit. The 58-inch version adds width without increasing 27-inch depth; the largest adds almost thirteen inches of length and 2.5 inches of depth over the smallest. The figures cover the top, not the full base, so check the frame footprint and chair, cable and door clearance.
Compare the complete height range with your setup
Branch gives all three Tria sizes a finished work-surface range of 25.5–48.9 inches. These are floor-to-top measurements, not bare-frame endpoints. The lower figure can matter if a shorter seated posture or a low chair makes other desks sit too high; the upper figure may help a taller standing setup. Neither number guarantees ergonomic fit by itself. Check the height of your chair, footwear, keyboard and monitor at both positions, and consider whether a keyboard tray would change the effective typing height.
The three-stage columns, OLED keypad with two presets, collision detection and sedentary reminders are shared Tria features. Bluetooth connects with Branch’s app for stand tracking and scheduled reminders; it does not move the desk automatically. USB-C charging is built into the keypad, but its wattage is unspecified, so do not count it as confirmed laptop fast-charging or desktop AC power.
Know what comes with the top and what remains optional
Each listed SKU is a complete desk with its selected Natural Oak top and powered frame. The product materials describe a cable opening, felt cable organizer and cable clips. A dedicated cable tray and in-desk power module are separate options, not part of the base desk just because they appear in a staged product image or on the accessory list. If built-in AC power is essential, compare the exact compatible module and opening before buying; the controller’s USB-C port is a separate feature.
The Tria is a conventional two-leg rectangular desk, not an L-shaped workstation or a pair of independently adjustable desks. If you need two people to move separate surfaces, a corner return, or a rolling base, this is the wrong format even if one of these sizes fits the room. Likewise, the product feed’s capture-time availability flag should not be read as a promise of present stock, delivery date or checkout eligibility.
Keep the published capacity claim in perspective
Branch states a 275-pound maximum or lift-capacity figure. The specification sheet does not say whether that is static or moving load, whether the tabletop weight is deducted, or how a concentrated load compares with a distributed one. That leaves the desk’s static and dynamic rating basis unknown. If your equipment load is an essential threshold, do not treat the unqualified 275-pound figure as confirmation; ask Branch for the applicable rating and include monitors, arms, accessories and anything stored on the desk.
Branch lists a 10-year warranty for tabletop and frame components; check the current terms for exclusions. Published speed and noise figures are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. This assessment does not claim hands-on tests of movement, stability, sound or durability.
Who should shortlist Natural Oak / Black?
This is a sensible candidate when you want a light oak-look surface over a dark frame, accept laminated MDF, need an included desktop, and can work within one of the three measured sizes and the 25.5–48.9-inch finished range. It is not the right choice for a solid-wood essential, a true 71-by-30-inch minimum, a required built-in AC panel, or a load threshold the manufacturer has not actually defined.
If Natural Oak suits the room but White or Charcoal legs fit better, compare those exact Tria selectors; the source set shows no change to the control or height package. If the dark base matters more than the top, compare Woodgrain / Black. In the finder, use “no preference” unless the finish pair is essential, then combine it with actual dimensions and material. Confirm the SKU at checkout; the representative image does not show this Black-leg selection.
Assessment uses Branch’s U.S. product page, selector feed, specification sheet and linked assembly guide. The inspected manufacturer image is representative, not exact to this finish or size; capture-time availability is not current stock confirmation.
